History of the Cat Hospital of Orlando

In the late 1980s, Dr. M. Alexandra Sumerlin had a vision of creating a veterinary practice that focused exclusively on feline care: a full-service hospital that would provide a warm and comfortable environment for cats as well as their owners, that minimizes the stress and anxiety associated with typical veterinary appointments. Dr. Sumerlin's vision became a reality in February of 1992 when the Cat Hospital of Orlando opened its doors. The first full-service, all-feline veterinary hospital in Central Florida, the Cat Hospital of Orlando was designed to invoke a warm and comfortable atmosphere where clients are assured of receiving quality and compassionate veterinary care. Dr. Sumerlin's approach to medicine is a thorough one that involves the client through trust and education, with careful consideration given to each patient, as well as the client.
